Waikiki starter Andrew Brackman tossed five scoreless
innings as the BeachBoys downed
Brackman, a New York Yankees farmhand, surrendered three hits and struck out five through five scoreless frames, and improved to 1-1 on the young Hawaii Winter Baseball season. Jeremy Papelbon allowed a run in the game’s final two innings to preserve the win, and earned his first save in the process.
The BeachBoys (2-4) scored twice in the sixth inning thanks
in part to Damon Sublett’s RBI single followed by Todd Frazier’s sacrifice fly.
