frame as Roger Kieschnick tripled to the left-center field gap to score Yonder
Alonso from first. Kieschnick then came home on a Daiki Kiyohara wild pitch to
put
Miles Durham drove in Jim Negrych on a bloop single to
center field to pull the CaneFires within a run of the lead in the home half of
the ninth.
Kieschnick and catcher Austin Romine each collected two base hits in support of the BeachBoys.
Kiyohara (0-1) took the loss after allowing both BeachBoys runs.
Both squads return to Murakami Stadium at 7 p.m. tomorrow for the second game of a three-game set.
