Adam Loewen, a former Major League pitcher with the Baltimore Orioles, joined the West Oahu CaneFires on Tuesday as a prospect with the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
In three years Loewen appeared in 35 games for the Orioles, and compiled an 8-8 record with a 5.38 earned run average while notching 134 strikeouts through 164 innings.
The Surrey, British Columbia, Canada native gained notoriety
for shutting down an MLB-laden lineup in Canada’s 8-6 victory over the USA in
