HWB To Honor Shane Victorino

Hawaii Winter Baseball will honor World Series champion Shane Victorino on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Les
Murakami Stadium. The Honolulu
Sharks host the Waikiki BeachBoys, starting at 7:00 pm. Victorino
will throw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch and be acknowledged on the
field later in the game. His appearance is made possible by Island Air, the
game’s presenting sponsor.
“Hawaii Winter Baseball is excited to be honoring Shane Victorino at Island Air’s game night,” said HWB
President Hervy Kurisu. “We’re proud
of Shane not only for his World Series title and Gold Glove award, but for
representing Hawaii
so positively on the game’s highest stage. He is a great role model for all of
the young baseball players in the islands.”

students, seniors and military are $4, and children (ages 4-12) are $3. Children
3 years and younger receive complimentary admission.
Hawaii Winter Baseball is an organized professional baseball
league sanctioned by Major League Baseball (MLB). It provides a setting for top
young professional ball players to play against top-notch U.S. and international competition to accelerate
U.S.
player progress through their respective major league farm systems, and to give
