Brad Suttle cranked a three-run home run over the left field fence in the second inning to aid the Honolulu Sharks offense which notched eight runs in the first three frames en route to a 8-3 victory over the Waikiki BeachBoys this afternoon at Waipahu’s Hans L’Orange Park. The Sharks (11-9-1) now hold a 2 ½-game lead over the BeachBoys (9-12) in Hawaii Winter Baseball’s East Division.

Left fielder Takumi Kobe went 3-4 with an RBI in support of the Sharks while teammate Tyler Flowers collected two hits, an RBI and scored twice. Center fielder Austin Jackson hit a solo home run in the first inning to give Honolulu its first lead of the game, one which they would not relinquish.

Jermaine Mitchell paced the BeachBoy batters, going 2-3 with a two-run double. Michael Wilson went 2-3 with a run, while Waikiki second baseman Hector Pellot notched a team-high three hits.
