I hope you're getting used to and enjoying our new and improved home for Hawaii Winter Baseball. I'll be posting my blog entries in this space regularly, and will touch on everything from player news to interesting happenings in the world of baseball. From time to time current and former HWB players will stop by and share some of their experiences gained from their time in Hawaii, as well as with their professional organizations.

Have a topic you want to know more about or discuss? Shoot me an email at kyle@hawaiiwinterbaseball.com, and I'll post and respond to them. I hope to see and hear from you soon in the K-Zone!

Nice revamp of the site. I have already made my travel plans, will be seeing my first game 10/25, and I'll be staying through the championship. Had I known the season would be ending prior to thanksgiving this year I could have arranged to make it back to Connecticut for the holiday....oh well. I've seen Hawaii winter baseball alumn play at six different minor league parks this year. I've been as far down to Myrtle Beach to see Kala K., and as far north to New Hampshire to see other sharks. Also caught Morgan and Bixler when they came to Pawtucket, and I see a lot of SF Giants prospects from the Beach Boys here in CT. The Kurisus did a great thing in bringing back HWB, I tell everyone I can about how fun the games are in Hawaii. Can we get a shuttle from Waikiki to Hans L'Orange this year on the days there is no game at Les Murakami? If you do I'll walk up and down Kuhio and Waikiki Beach forcing people into the van until its full:) I'm going to see Joba Chamberlain throw tonight for the AA Trenton Thunder against the New Britain Rock Cats tonight. Marquez and Kennedy are also on the roster. One request, can we get an update on how some of the Asian players are doing in Nippon? I saw Bobby Valentine at my friends restaurant over the winter (he lives in CT) and we talked HWB briefly. It looks like the Marines will be sending their kids back to Hawaii this year which is great. I'll check in regularly, thanks for keeping the site current in the "off season"! I have photos of a lot of the 2006 HWBers in action for their respective clubs, if you need any or want any updates or interviews shoot me an e-mail. PEACE and mahalo!

Thanks for the comment Lance, as for the Japanese players, we have people gathering information and photos as we speak, and will post those stories and photo galleries as soon as we can. Keep checking the site and pitching your feedback/suggestions! Mahalo, Kyle
