The wait is finally over.
Spring Training rolling into gear as teams work their way back into shape in either muggy Florida or steamy Arizona.
While we don't know for sure which members of the 2007 HWB crop will make it to the Bigs this season, HWB will do its best to keep you in the loop. I, along with Kurt Zwald, will scour the box scores and post updates daily--especially if one of the guys has a day to remember (as Tyler Flowers did today with a home run against the Dodgers).
Check out "Daily HWB Alumni Update" on the home page for the latest news and notes, both now and through the end of the season. Also, as fans, your passion and dedication to baseball and your favorite players are key to our league. If you see or hear anything interesting or newsworthy and pass it on to me, I'll post it (Thanks Lance!!).
I hope to see your comments, and please support the great bunch of former HWB players gunning for The Show!

Tyler, we are still working out the schedule, but we are trying to play at least 10 games at UH. It will all depend on how many season tickets we sell, as well as the public's response. It is not feasible for us to play there with a small crowd, but we are hoping that people will be excited to watch the new crop of HWB players on the new turf!

If folks in HI only knew how lucky they are to have such great baseball and great players right in their own backyard. For less than ten bucks you get to see players that within a year or two are literally dominating on the major league level. You can't get near the players at Yankee Stadium, but in Hawaii you can get an autograph and share a laugh with them. By the way, top ticket prices at Yankee Stadium this year is four hundred bucks! Hawaii Winter baseball is an awesome entertainment value.
Best of luck with season ticket sales. And thanks for posting the Nippon info, thats something I've been hoping for. Keep up the news from the Far East if you can.
